Welcome to Leatherchild, where every piece of leather tells a story.

Founded in June 2023, Leatherchild is the culmination of a passion for handcrafted leatherwork and a deep love for animals. My name is Mr. Kang, and I was born in a beautiful town in China. With over 8 years of experience in leather crafting, I specialize in creating handmade leather bags, carved pet keychains, and tags. The name "Leatherchild" has a special meaning to me. In Chinese, the word "玩皮" (playing with leather) sounds just like "顽皮" (naughty). I’ve always embraced the idea of being a playful, curious child at heart, and so, "Leatherchild" was born.

Our Journey:

In May 2023, I received a request from a client to create a leather-carved keychain in memory of his beloved cat who had crossed the Rainbow Bridge. This request touched me deeply and made me realize the significance of creating something meaningful, something that would provide comfort and a lasting memory. Inspired by this experience, I, along with a friend (Mr. Dalong), established Leatherchild in June 2023. Our mission is to craft unique, one-of-a-kind leather pieces for every cherished pet, offering their owners a sense of connection, whether in remembrance or companionship.

Our Team:

  • Mr. Kang: Founder and Lead Artisan, specializing in handcrafted leather bags, leather-carved keychains, and tags.
  • Mr. Dalong: Skilled in crafting a variety of leather goods.
  • Ms. Vicky (Joined December 2023): Specializes in plush toys and clay sculptures.
  • Ms. Xiaoyu (Joined March 2024): Focuses on creating plush toys.
  • Ms. Xixi (Joined June 2024): Specializes in leather-carved keychains and tags.
